One Year Later

Whoa.....It has been a long time since I have posted a blog! July 2009. I will try to stay a little more current. Well, since last year, Kai has turned one, Melissa and Jeff had a baby girl, Regan Grace born 4-15-2010. I am on the last leg of my journey to becoming a licensed therapist. Only one more test to go! Last week, we lost our beloved Father Michael Collins. He told all of us that he hoped to get his big toe in the doors of Heaven. I am sure he is there celebrating with all his loved ones. All the children are doing well, grandchildren too. Kim is reconnecting with old friends from his youth. Two of his friends from grade school met up with us at old man's two weeks ago and went surfing. It was an epic day. Do they still say things like that? Got to go study. Take care. Peace.

Summer Fun-Study-Study-Study

Greetings.....This summer is the summer of study. I have completed my 3000 hours of clinical work and now I get to study for part 1 of two tests to become licensed. Ugg. I am not alone in this adventure, as Kim has to study for his recurrent training. Some fun going on here. Take heart, in August we are going to camping in Yosemite with our family. Got to go do some clinical notes but stay tuned.....

Kai's & Buddy II

Kai's shout out with Buddy II.

Happy Father's Day

Kai shared his first Father's Day with his Dad, Nathan, Mom, Summer, Grandpa, Kim, Nathan's mom (Kai's grandmother) Susan, Tutu Wahine -Kai's other grandmother, Drew Bob, Kai's Uncle and Shannon Marie, Kai's other dog and protector. Everyone called the house to wish grandpa Kim a Happy father's day/grandpa day... Robie, Laura and Melissa, which we wished everyone could be together. We all enjoyed a nice dinner, yummy chocolate cake and then a movie....School of Rock. Most excellent choice. Kai has discovered how to laugh and his thumb which kept him entertained and happy for the evening. Kai was the hit of the evening. Kai shared with me that he really enjoyed being hugged, kissed and adored.

See you soon Kai Bear..... Love Tutu and Grandpa.

Today started off (5:45 am) with the usual, a tarp, taping, making sure that everything was covered before i started to spray paint the ornamental iron railing in our living room. I have to admit, spray painting is fun and you would be wise to wear a breathing mask. After this, an eight hour seminar for the licensing exam in Costa Mesa. Looking forward to coming home and then all of the clean up from the morning. Ugg!

I just wanted to thank Melissa for getting me started blogging. Even if nobody looks at my blog, I enjoy doing this as it is kind of an e-mail diary. Enjoy Monday! Elizabeth
